In order to ensure the normal processing of the product, HOLON3D engineers used the 3D scanner HL-3DX+ to 3D scan the upper and lower molds of the product to obtain 3D data for quality inspection and subsequent design modifications.
The traditional mold inspection method is to detect the local surface accuracy of individual parts of the mold to determine whether the surface of the part is consistent with the product design surface curvature. However, after the final mold installation is completed, the self-weight of the mold makes it impossible for the three-coordinate machine tool to detect it, and it is impossible to intuitively reflect the overall surface accuracy of the mold, and then it is impossible to judge whether the mold processing is completely consistent with the product design.
Many other measuring equipment also have cumbersome movement problems. It is obviously time-consuming and labor-intensive to fully measure medium and large molds. If the mold inspection results are not accurate and detailed enough, it will directly lead to delays and mold repairs, or the scrapping and reprocessing of the inserts, resulting in great losses and waste. Therefore, detailed and accurate mold inspection reports are needed to take timely response measures to the mold production situation to ensure that product production quality meets expected standards.

The mold has many curved surfaces and a complex shape, which makes mold design more and more difficult and the design time also increases. In response to the problems faced by customers, Hualang 3D technical engineers use the 3D scanner HL-3DX+ (quickly obtain high-precision 3D data of the tiger orchid mold) + reverse design software (convert the tiger orchid mold point cloud data into triangular mesh surface data ) + post-processing in the design software to speed up the secondary design of the tiger orchid mold.
